The Radar screen is where you triage the rising topics the market radar finds. It deals them as a deck of cards, one topic at a time: decide, then move on. What a snapshot holds and when the radar is lit is on [From the market radar](/docs/from-the-market-radar); this page covers the screen.

## What the Radar shows

The deck spans the projects of the organization picked in the project switcher. When that organization has more than one project, a dropdown in the header narrows it to one; the default is **All projects**. Changing it deals a fresh deck.

Cards come momentum first (breakout, then rising, then building), then by novelty, then by recency. Each card shows:

- the topic's headline, its project and when the snapshot was taken;
- chips for momentum and novelty, and a change chip against the project's previous snapshot: **New on radar**, **Heating up** or **Cooling**;
- a verdict on the strongest topics: **Hot pick — act within 48h** for a breakout that your plan does not already cover, **Worth a look** for other breakouts and for new rising topics;
- the summary, then the article angles it could become, each with its positioning;
- **Why it's moving**: the drivers and the evidence, each linking to its source when a link exists.

With one project selected, a strip under the header shows the head terms' Google Trends trajectory. It orients you on the niche and does not score the topics.

## Lit, dormant and preview cards

Each card carries its project's radar state. A lit radar takes a fresh snapshot about once a day. A dormant radar's cards come from its last sweep, now refreshed weekly. A preview card comes from the one snapshot taken when the project was created. Dormant and preview cards work like any other card; they carry a **Dormant** or **Preview** chip, and a banner under the header explains the state. When exactly one project is dormant, the banner links to **Light your radar** on its overview, where a research run relights daily sweeps for 30 days.

## Where the data comes from

The deck reads your projects' stored radar snapshots and loads more cards as you go. Angles are generated as a card nears the top and then cached.

## What you can do here

- **Pick angles.** One angle is selected for you: the first that is not already in your plan or a near-duplicate of something there. Tap angles to change the selection. Angles already added are marked; near-duplicates name the suggestion they resemble.
- **Custom positioning or POV.** Type a point of view and press **Generate** to add angles written from it.
- **Keep** (or swipe right, or the right arrow key) adds the selected angles to the content plan, and each starts its brief. Keep needs at least one angle selected.
- **Dismiss** (swipe left, left arrow) removes the topic. An **Undo** in the notice brings it back within five seconds; after that the dismissal is stored.
- **Later** (top-left of the card, or the up arrow) sends the card to the back of the deck for this session.

The header keeps a tally of kept, added and passed. When the deck runs out, the screen says when the next sweep is due, or that none is scheduled for an unlit project.

## The same work over MCP

- `list_radar_topics` returns one project's latest snapshot: the topics, their index, and how many suggestions came from each.
- `expand_radar_topic` returns the angles for one topic; pass `customPov` for the **Generate** behavior.
- `add_radar_topic` is **Keep**: it adds the chosen angles and starts their briefs.

Dismiss and Later have no MCP tool; they exist only on this screen.
