Settings opens from the user menu at the bottom of the sidebar. Its left column has two groups: Account, Organization, Billing and Notifications for you and your organization, then a Project group for the project you have open, covered in [Project settings](/docs/project-settings). Opening Settings on its own lands on Account. The same user menu carries shortcuts to Account, Billing and Notifications, and Log out.

## Account

Account holds two cards.

**Profile** shows your avatar and your display name. The photo comes from your sign-in provider; the screen does not take an upload. Edit **Display name** (up to 100 characters) and press **Save name**. The name is how you appear across VarynForge.

**Email** shows the address you sign in with, which is also your billing address, with a Verified or Unverified badge. To change it, type the new address into **New email address** and press **Send confirmation**. VarynForge emails a link to the new inbox, and your current address stays active until that link is opened. The link expires after one hour. While a change is pending, the card says where the confirmation went and offers **Resend confirmation** and **Dismiss**. Open the link and you land back on Account with the new address in place. An expired or used link leaves your email as it was and says so.

That is the whole screen. Your MCP connection is not managed here; [Connect your agent](/docs/connect-your-agent) covers adding and removing it from the client's side.

## Billing

Billing belongs to the organization you have active, not to you personally. Every member can open the screen and see the plan; only owners and admins can change it. A member who tries gets a refusal naming that rule.

The **Current Plan** card shows the plan name, its status (active, Trial, canceled), a "Cancels at period end" badge when a cancellation is scheduled, the billing period, the next charge date, and the first features of the plan. With no subscription it says so and points you at the plans below. Its buttons:

- **Cancel subscription** sends you to Stripe to cancel. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and the next charge reads "Not scheduled".
- **Restore subscription** appears while a cancellation is scheduled and undoes it in place.
- **Manage in Stripe** opens the Stripe customer portal for the organization: payment method, invoices, plan changes.
- **See pricing details** opens the public [pricing page](/pricing) in a new tab.

Below it, **Plans** lists every paid plan with its monthly price and features, and an Enterprise card whose **Contact sales** button opens an email to the sales address. A plan's button starts a Stripe checkout, or switches an existing subscription to that plan; your current plan's button reads "Current plan" and is disabled.

After Stripe, you land on a confirmation page titled "Subscription updated". It says the change is in progress and can take a moment to sync from Stripe, and **Back to billing** returns you to the screen above.

Plans buy research runs, one credit each. The Billing screen does not show your credit balance. The Research credits card on the [Dashboard](/docs/dashboard) shows it, and your agent reads it with `get_account_status`, which reports the organization's plan, available credits and what is left on each daily cap. [Free and paid](/docs/free-and-paid) explains what each plan runs and what the caps are.

## Notifications

The Notifications screen is a placeholder that reads "Coming soon". It has no toggles today, and VarynForge sends no notification emails you could switch on or off from it. The emails you do get are the ones an action triggers: an email change confirmation, an organization invitation.

## Organization

Organization is where you rename the organization you have active, see its members and their roles, invite people by email, leave an organization, and create a new one. [Organizations and teams](/docs/organizations-and-teams) covers all of it: the three roles, what each can do, how invitations work and expire, and how your agent targets a project in another organization. Your agent can list your organizations with `list_organizations`, but invitations and roles are changed only on this screen.
